Yes they were taking all the searches through there ad affiliates and other engines so now it's just search from within that the stats apply to, saw many of my high search domains turn to junk overnight as did many domainers.Try to use as many search stat programs as possible to get an average idea of the true numbers.

According to AdWords help documentation this data is a 12-month average of search queries. What you likely encountered was an update of the data. They can't possibly have all the data for each keyword updated live. My guess is that it is updated on around a monthly basis.

Update: I've just received word from Ty Hancocks that Google may have changed the criteria for how they calculate broad and exact match queries data. Hopefully this change has brought about more accurate numbers.
